Minus 2 and counting....

We start the shots on Saturday, just two more days! I'm trying to still be really aware of what I am eating and that sort of thing, although I have definitely not cut out any particular foods; just finished eating a handful of goldfish crackers and had a few pieces of cake doughnuts that were out on the counter earlier. I can "pig out" on Saturday and Sunday when we're supposed to really "load" up. I've been reading the Simeon Manuscript to get familiar with the diet and the reasons behind it. Like why you are supposed to "load" and what happens when people don't follow certain aspects of the diet; also if you reach a plateau too early in the process, what you can do to get past it. This diet is for men and women and men will tend to lose a little quicker but overall it is the same for both sexes; I wouldn't have thought that. Next I will study the allowed foods (not that many, it shouldn't take long!) and figure out how we're going to weigh the food to make sure we stay in the limits. I'm really looking forward to finding out if you truly do not feeling hungry after day 2 or 3; that would be so amazing.

Cooking a pork roast & mashed potatoes & green beans for dinner tonight; I won't be having any of those things for quite awhile again!
